Reflection Of a Recruiter

Reflections of a Recruiter: Joy Benson’s Stories Part 3

In my last story, I talked about employers who expect employee loyalty on peanut remuneration but you see there are 2 sides of this coin.

Employees or Candidates with no employable skills, zero drive to put in the work, zero motivation to personally improve themselves but want to earn a great salary. Dearly Beloved, YOU ARE PAID WHAT YOU ARE WORTH!

If you think you are worth so much then demonstrate the skills needed for the pay you really want. It’s disheartening when a fresh graduate can’t distinguish between simple English words for example, difference between accent and ascent. You can’t write a coherent letter, your manager needs to proof read your documents and you want top dollar? How biko?

Invest in yourself continually to drive your worth.
